After spending way too many years glued to my computer and my car, I noticed I had a body when a herniated disc shouted so loudly I couldn't ignore it.

A friend introduced me to the Feldenkrais Method®, which thankfully put me on the path to healing. By learning how to listen and respond to more subtle cues, I soon found myself out of pain. But then the true joy started, as I realized not only could I return to how I was before my injury, but actually expand what was possible. So at 45, life opened up to all sorts of new possibilities.

Irene holds the following certifications:

  • Guild-Certified Feldenkrais PractitionerSM
  • Anat Baniel Method for Children, Anti-Aging and Vitality, and High Performers
  • Nia green-belt instructor
  • Level 2 SkateIA inline skate instructor
  • MA, Applied Behavioral Science
  • CPR/First Aid

Fixing things and analyzing and solving problems are my passions. Whether it be programming, networking, skating, or dancing, understanding how the components make the goal possible makes creativity possible.

I enjoy figuring out what is required for a particular movement, and breaking it down so it can be easily learned. The Feldenkrais Method, designed by physicist Moshe Feldenkrais, provides a structure for analyzing and improving movement that works, whether your goal is getting out of pain or learning new skills.

Ed holds the following certifications:

Our goal in teaching is to explore the question "What would life be like if I could move more easily...?"
This is more than a physical question: as movement choices expand, so do options in each moment.
